Tesla FSD Beta 11.4.4 Scheduled for End-of-Week Release: Elon Musk – Tesla Maison

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has hinted at the upcoming release of Tesla FSD Beta 11.4.4, stating that it is set for the end of this week. This announcement follows the ongoing rollout of FSD Beta 11.4.3, which is being distributed to an increasing number of users. Speculations suggest that version 11.4.3 mainly consists of bug fixes, as it shares similar release notes with version 11.4.2.

According to the Tesla software tracker Teslascope, the release waves of FSD Beta 11.4.3 have been substantial, potentially making it one of the largest waves of releases since the initial report. Elon Musk confirmed on Twitter that the successor to version 11.4.3, FSD Beta 11.4.4, is already scheduled for rollout by the end of the week.

Considering Musk's track record with FSD Beta estimates, there is a possibility that version 11.4.4 may be released at a later date. Nonetheless, Tesla's FSD Beta fleet is generating a significant amount of real-world data, which is expected to accelerate improvements in the advanced driver-assist system in the coming months.

Similar to previous FSD Beta updates, version 11.4.4 may initially have a limited release restricted to employees. This approach was taken with the initial rollout of FSD Beta version 11 in November 2022, which took several months before being extended to the wider FSD Beta fleet.

It is worth noting that the transition from FSD Beta V10 to V11 was substantial, as V11 marked the introduction of a single software stack for the advanced driver-assist system. The shift from FSD Beta 11.4.3 to 11.4.4 is likely to be less significant in comparison.

Tesla's FSD Beta fleet has shown impressive growth, with substantial cumulative miles traveled by program participants. In Tesla's Q1 2023 Update Letter, the company highlighted that its FSD Beta fleet had already surpassed 150 million miles at the time of the document's release.

Tesla emphasized the importance of such extensive data collection, considering it crucial for an AI-based approach to scalable autonomy. In Q1, Tesla enabled the latest FSD Beta software stack for highway driving, further advancing the development of autonomous driving capabilities.
